Getting Started

To use aspNetIMAP you will need to download and run the aspNetIMAP.msi file available from www.aspNetIMAP.com.

Running the MSI file

Download and run the aspNetIMAP.msi file. This installation wizard unpacks the aspNetIMAP.dll and the aspNetMime20.dll to the default directory of C:\Program Files\AdvancedIntellect\aspNetIMAP.  The aspNetIMAP.dll is used for accessing the IMAP server(s), while the aspNetMime20.dll is used for parsing messages into a Mime object.

 

Installing

The wizard also unpacks this aspNetIMAP.chm help file, installs the aspNetIMAP in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) and installs some menu shortcuts under
Start | Programs | Advanced Intellect.

 

Uninstalling

If you are testing aspNetIMAP, and have installed the evaluation version, and will be purchasing the production version, you will need to uninstall this version from Start | Control Panel | Add Remove Programs. This will prevent namespace collision, and someone accidentally referencing the expired, evaluation version.

If you want to continue your evaluation of aspNetIMAP, and your version has expired, simply visit aspNetIMAP to download a newer version.
